About our Huts & What to Expect on the Day

About our huts

Our Beach Huts are more than just a changing hut, they are ‘Rooms on the beach’. Thanks to the glass patio doors, they can be used in any weather, and our motto is "‘Everyday’s a beach day”.

We also have a special rate for Corporate events, birthday parties, celebrations, etc. If you’d like to book all of the huts together, please call us to discuss this on 07624 496363.

Paying for your hut

Once you decide which hut you’d like and find the time slot you want, you can reserve your hut by paying by Paypal. You don’t have to have a Paypal account to pay, you can check out as a guest using all major credit and debit cards.

By proceeding to booking you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. Please make sure that you have read and agree to these before reserving your hut. We will also have a form for you to sign on check in to agree to these. Please bring proof of payment with you - either a screen shot of your payment on your phone or a print out.

Thanks, and see you at the beach!

What to expect on the day of your beach experience

You will be met on the day, by one of our staff, and checked into your beach hut for the day/evening/both. Inside the hut you will find any extras that you have booked. If you’ve ordered tea and coffee, there is electricity, a kettle, a litre of water, tea, coffee, uht milk jiggers, 6 biodegradable paper cups, lids and spoons. You are welcome to bring your own supplies too of course. Please don’t forget to bring water if you haven’t booked tea and coffee pack as there is no water supply.

Our huts are all individually designed and themed. They are designed to be enjoyable any weather, but please remember they are still sheds! We believe that they would be five star if there was a shed rating system, however, they are not 5 star in hotel ratings. So don’t forget that on cooler days, you will need warm clothing. We cannot allow heaters or any heat producing item to be plugged in as it is a fire risk and against our insurance and also it would trip the electrics as we are on a limited supply, so don’t forget your blankets and hot water bottles (you can rent these off us too if you like in the cold weather packs).

If the weather is sunny, you can add on a Beach Pack, which will include extra sun chairs and a windbreak or umbrella.

If it’s raining and cold, you can add on blankets, hot water bottles (to be filled by yourselves with the kettle) and board games.

We do have a limit of 6 persons per hut, which will be monitored. We know on sunny days that friends may pop around. Please bear in mind that additional people sat outside must be kept to a maximum of four extra, so as not to disturb the hut next door by having a large crowd outside their hut. Please be respectful of others enjoying their day at the beach too.

BBq’s are not allowed on the beach, which is in the byelaws, however special permission can be got from the Commissioners, the BBQ’s must not be used near the huts as smoke gets into others huts and it is also a fire risk, so please if you have permission, take it to the rocks to the left of the huts (when facing the huts), also in the rules when given permission, they must not be put in ours or public bins as this is a fire hazard, they must also not be left on the beach.

Fires are also strictly not allowed on the beach (in the byelaws), however if you wish to hire a fire, Andrea at Port Erin Paddleboards, has permision to do special tiki fires which she monitors, these are available to rent and she will set up near but far enough away from your hut, please contact them to reserve this option.

There is no lifeguard on duty on Port Erin beach, and children must be supervised at all times. Please bear in mind this is a public beach, and people will be playing ball games etc, so we cannot take responsibility if balls etc get into your area outside the hut.

Please leave your beach hut tidy, and take away anything you brought (including large amounts of rubbish), we do provide a small bin, but any in excess of this we would kindly ask that you take home with you. Please dont use the orange bins as they are for the cafe. The green ones can be used, but they do get very full on busy days, so it is helpful if you can take it home with you in order to stop the seagulls spreading it along the beach and into the sea.

When you leave, just leave the door unlocked and open, or closed if raining.

Please call us anytime before, during, or after your stay if you have any questions at all on 07624 496363.

Thanks and we hope you have a lovely day at the beach whatever the weather. And remember, ‘Everyday is a beach day’ when you have a ‘Room on the Beach’ for the day.

Add on a Hot or Cold day Beach Pack and other extras when you book

You don’t need to guess which you’ll need either. We’ll take a view on the day and bring along whichever is best suited for the weather.
