Terms and Conditions and all that (important) Jazz!

Hut Terms and Conditions. Please read before booking.

We really want everyone to enjoy their day, we want this to be a relaxed, chilled experience for all, we work on trust and that you will all respect others space to make it a fun and nice day for everyone. Please be advised that this is a Public beach, and there will be ball games and other people on the beach, so we cannot take responsibility for balls, etc coming into your area/space at the beach. We don’t want to be policing you all the time, as this is supposed to be relaxed and fun, so please help us by keeping to the following rules, as we would hate to have to spoil the day for you by turning you away, or ending your experience early, thank you for your understanding and helping us to let everyone make special memories, whatever age, at the beach.

  • The maximum number of people per beach hut, is 6, (as this is all they comfortably accommodate), however, the maximum we allow at a hut when outside is used, (please bear the weather in mind), is STRICTLY TEN IN TOTAL. So please book enough huts for your group size -This is for the comfort of all hut users, as everyone pays the same, so it is unfair to overcrowd your area. We have had to put a number on this, as otherwise if everybody just brought as many as they wanted then it would be crazy. We have to be super strict at monitoring numbers, to make everybody’s experience a good one. When you book, you are agreeing to 6-10 per hut, so please book enough huts for your amount of people, as we would hate to turn you away, this will be monitored by the Beach Hut Team. Thankfully, most people are respectful of this, and understand the issue, sadly a few didn’t last year and so we have to reiterate it sadly. For party bookings please get in touch before booking.

  • No group must be without someone over 18 years of age.

  • Strictly NO smoking or lighting candles inside the beach huts.

  • Strictly no heaters or heat producing items to be used in the huts, this is an obvious fire risk and also the electric will trip, as it is only enough power for a kettle, lamp and charger, so only the kettle and lamp provided can be plugged in and then there are charging points for your phones, but this is al that can be used at the electric points provided.

  • Strictly NO party poppers or streamers or similar products which are damaging to the environment and we are on a beach.

  • Whilst we want you to enjoy your day and know that digging holes with your little ones is fun, these must be filled in before you leave for the safety of other beach users.

  • No pets are allowed in the beach huts, however we do have certain dog friendly huts that we allow dogs into, only when they are allowed on the beach, in accordance with the Port Erin Commissioners’ byelaws, it is illegal for dogs to be on the beach during the summer season during the hours of 10 am and 7 pm and fines are levied for breach of the rules.

  • No fires or barbecues are to be lit on the beach, as per the Port Erin Commissioners’ byelaws. It is possible to get special permission from the Commissioners to BBQ on the beach, if you get this, due to fire risk and smoke getting into other peoples huts and areas, we do not allow the BBQ’s at the huts. If you have this special permission, then please respect other hut users, and BBQ at the rocks to the left of the huts (when facing the huts), please do not put the BBQ’s in any bin at the beach as this is a fire hazard thanks (which is in your rules given by the Commissioners if you have permission.)

  • No furniture is to be removed from the beach hut at any time, (this does not include beach chairs).

  • Rubbish - We have provided a small bin in the beach hut, however, any additional waste will need to be taken home, if room allows, this may be disposed of in the public green bins (not the orange ones ), but on busy days, please help Port Erin stay tidy by taking it home with you if you can.

  • There are Public toilets a short walk from the huts, on the left, just before Davidson’s Ice Cream Parlour. However, if you make a purchase from Foraging Vintners you may make use of their facilities., but this is strictly with a purchase from them.

  • Please do not ask Foraging Vintners to fill up your kettles, they are a cafe and sell these items. please remember to bring water if you havent ordered the tea and coffee pack as an extra.

  • Our Huts are built to be cosy in the rain and fun in the sun, we have put in extra expense with glass doors and nice furnishings so that you feel like you have your own little home on the beach for the day. Therefore, we cannot refund for bad weather.

  • By continuing with your booking and paying for your hut you agree to adhere to all of our Terms and Conditions.
